Anyone needs plans for their wedding? What about action and romance combined? LOL. Chuck's season finale ends with a beautiful wedding that you might wanna check.

According to CNN...

Secure in the knowledge that “Chuck” will be coming back with more episodes next year, fans were free to enjoy last night’s season finale without worrying about being left with an unresolved cliffhanger.

Unfortunately, there were still a lot of loose ends that weren’t really tied up. But I guess that’s bound to happen when you pack four missions, an interrogation, a wedding, a reunion and a TON of flashbacks into one hour.

We start where we left off last week, with Sarah on death's door after an attack by Vivian Volkoff. Chuck decides the only person who can help save her is Alexei Volkoff, so he heads off with Casey to spring him from prison.

Unfortunately, Volkoff’s not there. He’s being moved to another facility by CIA uber-baddy Clyde Decker, who helpfully informs Chuck that he and his team have been suspended by the CIA.

Mission No. 2: spring Volkoff from this transport, helpfully aided by Gen. Beckman getting the team back into Castle with Chuck commandeering some ultra-secret motorcycle. (So Beckman is willing to help Chuck, but can’t get him un-suspended? Huh?) He pulls it off, but not before Decker wipes out the Volkoff persona. Curses, foiled again!

No matter, because Hartley (formerly Volkoff) knows the antidote to help Sarah. Well, one that buys her a little more time, at least. So it’s on to mission No. 3: get the full antidote from Vivian. (And maybe meet the daughter you never knew you had… who oh-by-the-way is now evil because she’s trying to live up to the evil mastermind you were… but you weren’t really… but she doesn’t know that. I see some family therapy in the future here.)

Decker catches up to Chuck before he can go see Vivian, though. He informs Chuck that he’s not just suspended, he’s fired. And since he’s no longer working for the government, they’re just gonna take back that intersect, thank you very much. (Ugh. We’re back to this again?)

Chuck breaks out (thank you, Casey) and heads to see Vivian with Hartley in tow. Dear old dad gets cold feet, though, so it’s up to Chuck to face Vivian on his own, until Hartley pops back up and convinces his daughter to make a new life together using the secret identities Chuck and Sarah were going to use.

Finally (FINALLY!), Chuck gets the antidote back to Sarah, after a little stand-off outside the hospital that involves his whole team, Decker’s guys, Sarah’s CAT Squad and Volkoff’s private army.

Cut immediately to the wedding we’ve been waiting months for… which I TOTALLY thought was a dream sequence. In my defense, a) we went straight from Sarah not reacting to the antidote to Sarah at the altar, b) Morgan is performing the wedding, and c) Chuck is wearing a ring made out of ribbon in one shot (which we saw used in a wedding rehearsal flashback), and is wearing NO ring in the next shot.

I also thought it was a dream sequence because we had so many unresolved issues. What exactly happened as Sarah took the antidote, and why were we robbed of a “Sarah wakes up” scene? How are Chuck and his team not at the top of a CIA hit list? Or at least, how did they resolve things with the CIA given that the entire team went rogue? Why is Chuck talking so openly about being a spy in front of all their wedding guests? Why is Morgan, who was Chuck’s best man, now the officiant?

Apparently, though, the show wasn’t pulling any fake outs. The wedding really did happen, and they are officially Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Bartowski (or Mr. and Mrs. Sarah Walker, touché).

Far be it for “Chuck” to leave a season completely resolved, though. Once back from the honeymoon, Chuck encounters Decker, who tells him everything that’s happened, going all the way back to his initial intersect upload, has been part of some master plan. Unfortunately, since Chuck and his team are no longer part of the CIA, they can’t get any answers. Unless, that is, they become freelance spies, funded by the multi-million dollar wedding gift from Hartley and his daughter.

And since every good spy team needs an intersect, it’s a good thing Morgan stumbled across the sunglasses Gen. Beckman left for Chuck to upload a new one. You guys, Morgan knows kung fu.
